We provide guidance and support throughout the route, employing two-way radios to communicate and sharing essential dune driving techniques during challenging moments.
Following our lead vehicle, you'll accumulate valuable dune driving expertise, all while revelling in the breathtaking landscapes that brought you here. Commencing at the Flamingo Villas Hotel Parking Lot in Walvis Bay, our tour unfolds with intriguing insights into the Ramsar wetlands of the Walvis Bay Lagoon, the enchanting pink Flamingos, and the rosy salt lakes of the Saltworks.
Our sandy route leads southward along the shoreline, passing remnants of bygone houses strewn on the beach by tumultuous spring tides. Ascending wind-sculpted dunes, brace yourself for a heart-stopping roller coaster descent, unveiling the unexpected, lush wetland scenery of Sandwich Harbour at your feet — simply stunning, awe-inspiring, and unforgettable.
This half-day tour is approximately 6 hours, depending on how well we master the dune drive. Vehicle must be fuelled, lightly loaded, well insured, and driven with the owner's permission. Car rental available on request. Price on request — please contact us.
